Phishing has always been the most common attack against small and mid-sized businesses, and for decades it came with a built-in defense: it was badly written. The broken grammar, the strange urgency, the greeting that didn't quite fit. Employees learned to spot the seams. Then the seams disappeared. Overnight, every attacker on earth could produce fluent, personalized, convincing email at no cost and unlimited scale.
Everything that's happened since builds on that shift. Reconnaissance got automated. Attacks got faster. But the door was already open.
What changes for our customers
This week, Chimera Cybersecurity was accepted into Anthropic's Cyber Verification Program.
The program grants a select group of vetted organizations unrestricted access to the full cyber capabilities of Anthropic's frontier models, capabilities that remain locked to everyone else. Earning that access reflects the standard Chimera holds itself to, and we're proud to be among the organizations trusted with it.
The advantage flows directly to our customers. With frontier capabilities behind our defensive research, we harden faster, respond faster, and stay ahead of an evolving threat landscape, so the businesses we protect are simply harder to breach.
The businesses the world runs on
There's a reason we build for small and mid-sized businesses, and it isn't a market segment. It's a conviction.
SMBs are the most attacked and least defended organizations on earth. They face the same adversaries as the Fortune 500, the same phishing kits, the same ransomware crews, the same machine-speed attacks, all with none of the same armor. No security team. No SOC. Often not a single person whose job it is to think about any of this. Attackers know it, which is exactly why they go there first.
And yet these are the businesses the world actually runs on. SMBs are the overwhelming majority of companies in every economy, the source of most jobs, the supply chain behind every large enterprise. When a small business gets breached, it doesn't make headlines. It just quietly closes, and a community loses a livelihood. The cornerstone of the global economy is sitting in the open, and securing it isn't a niche. It's the whole job.
